[11-23-2022] 62-Year-Old Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash by DUI Driver in Elk GroveAccording to authorities, a 62-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run collision involving a DUI driver in Elk Grove on Wednesday morning, November 23, 2022.

The Elk Grove Police Department reported that the crash occurred at 5:18 a.m. on West Stockton Boulevard between Whitelock Parkway and Kyler Road.

Investigators believed the pedestrian was in the street when he was hit by the vehicle. Responders attempted to save the victim’s life, but he eventually succumbed to his injuries.

The authorities were able to follow the suspect’s car to a residence in North Sacramento after it was spotted on traffic cameras. It was owned by a 54-year-old man named Michael B.

Brown allegedly showed signs of impairment at the time of the arrest. He was detained in Sacramento County main jail on deadly DUI of a drug and hit-and-run charges.

The area of the collision was closed for an unknown amount of time as the authorities continued their investigation.
