[11-24-2022] At Least One Driver Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision in EurekaAuthorities said at least one person was injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Eureka on Thursday, November 24, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred after 12:00 a.m. at the West Henderson and Broadway intersection near the In-N-Out.

The Eureka Police Department, California Highway Patrol, and Humboldt Bay Fire all sent personnel to the site of what seemed to be an accident involving four cars.

The female driver of a red Subaru was reportedly extricated from her vehicle. She was taken to Providence St. Joseph Hospital for sustaining major injuries.

One of the other drivers fled the scene for unclear reasons, while two other cars received damage to the front and back ends. There were no additional details on the other vehicles and drivers involved.

It is now unknown what caused the crash, including whether alcohol or drugs were used, but the investigation continues.
