Authorities confirmed that the collision occurred around 6:25 p.m. at Cherry Street on Pacific Coast Highway.

Reports state that the victim was crossing the street when an unknown vehicle hit him and fled.

Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his upper and lower body and stable vital signs.

No information was provided regarding the vehicle and driver that struck the victim.

The Pacific Coast Highway between Cherry and Gardenia avenues was closed for 30 minutes for authorities to investigate the collision.
