[11-24-2022] San Diego County, CA - Pedestrian Accident Killed Two People in OceansideAuthorities reported two pedestrians were killed after being hit by a vehicle in Oceanside on Thursday evening, November 24, 2022.

According to the Oceanside Police Department, the crash occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Oceanside Boulevard close to State Tree Drive and west of Interstate 5.

The victims were a white man and a woman in their 40s. There was no other identification provided.

According to the officers, when the car struck the pedestrians, they were not at an authorized crosswalk but were walking in the middle of the road.

The car driver pulled over right away, was helpful, and gave a statement. The occurrence appeared to have been unintentional because of the dark lighting.

Alcohol or drug use is not considered a contributing factor upon initial investigation. After being shut down for a while, Oceanside Boulevard reopened overnight.
