[11-24-2022] Tulare County, CA - Seven People Injured Following Multi-Vehicle Collision in VisaliaSeven people, including five children, were injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Visalia Friday morning, November 25, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 11:00 p.m. between State Route 198 and State Route 65.

Reports state that a 32-year-old was driving a Chevrolet Silverado when a 40-year-old woman driving a southbound Infiniti QX60 on State Route 65 entered the intersection.

At the intersection of State Route 65 and Route 198, a 30-year-old Woodlake woman waited in her Nissan Frontier while a 29-year-old Porterville drove a Mazda 3 on the #2 lane.

According to the authorities, the Chevrolet entered the intersection against a red light and struck the Infiniti on its left side.

As the Infiniti was thrown across the median, it struck Nissan and Mazda.

As a result of the collision, the Chevrolet driver and the Infiniti driver allegedly sustained severe injuries.

The Infiniti also contained five kids, ages 6 to 13, who sustained moderate to severe injuries.

Meanwhile, the two other cars’ drivers were uninjured.

The Chevrolet driver will be detained for driving under the influence after being released from the hospital.

Further investigations are still being conducted.
