[11-24-2024] One Killed, Three Injured After Sheriff’s Pursuit Led to Collision on Crows Landing Road in ModestoA 40-year-old man died after crashing into another vehicle during a sheriff’s pursuit in Modesto on Monday afternoon, November 25, 2024.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:35 p.m. on Crows Landing Road near South 7th Street, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies initiated the pursuit after attempting a traffic stop near Crows Landing Road and Boulder Avenue.

The man, who was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, dissuading a witness, and other warrants, struck a vehicle carrying a man, a woman, and a 6-year-old boy. All three occupants were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The California Highway Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
