According to authorities, the deadly crash transpired around 3:46 p.m. in Bloomington along Hawthorne Avenue.

Reports state that the suspect was driving an SUV when he collided with a parked car next to a curb.

The impact led the parked car to hit three pedestrians using the sidewalk.

When responders arrived, they declared two victims, one teenager and an adult, dead on the scene.

The suspect, Josue N., was detained on suspicion of DUI, hit-and-run, gross vehicular manslaughter, and a felon possessing a firearm.

The victims’ identities had not been released.
