[11-26-2022] San Diego County, CA - Motorcycle vs. SUV Struck and Killed One Rider in Chula VistaA 34-year-old motorcyclist was fatally struck after a collision with an SUV in Chula Vista Saturday morning, November 26, 2022.

Authorities confirmed that the deadly crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. near Heritage Road and Avenida Escaya.

Witnesses reportedly told police they saw the motorcycle run a red light at the intersection.

The compact SUV entered the intersection on a green light when the motorcycle next struck its side.

Paramedics responded and transported the woman to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where she was later declared dead.

The victim’s name was not released, pending notification of her next of kin.

Meanwhile, the SUV driver remained at the scene and collaborated with authorities.

Officers found that the driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol; however, the motorcycle rider’s test results are still pending.

Further investigations are still ongoing.
