[11-27-2022] Two-Vehicle Collision in Laytonville Injures At Least TwoAt least two people were injured following a two-vehicle collision north of Laytonville on Sunday evening, November 27, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 9:48 p.m. along Highway 101.

The crash reportedly resulted in one car slamming into the porch of a house next to the road and the other car drifting into a creek next to the highway.

Responders reportedly found one female occupant of a Hyundai Santa Fe that struck the house with minor injuries. Fortunately, no one was inside the house during the collision.

Another occupant from one vehicle was characterized as “walking wounded” or someone injured but of low priority.

It is unclear what exactly caused the crash and how it happened. No other details were released on the number of persons involved and the extent of their injuries.

The investigation by the authorities continues, including whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
