[11-28-2022] El Dorado County, CA – At Least Three People Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision in Placerville

Three people were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Placerville on Monday evening, November 28, 2022.

According to the California Department of Transportation, or Caltrans, the crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Highway 50 east of Schnell School Road.

The El Dorado County Fire Protection District reported that the collision was caused by a driver going the wrong way.

Two individuals were reportedly transported to the hospital for minor injuries, while another also received minor wounds but was released at the scene. No other details on the total number of people involved were released.

The California Highway Patrol closed all westbound lanes of Freeway 50 for about 30 minutes before they were opened again.
