[11-28-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – Five Juveniles Hospitalized Following Vehicle Crash in Needles

Five juveniles were hospitalized following a vehicle crash in Needles on Tuesday afternoon, November 28, 2023.

According to the Needles Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 1:08 p.m. on Parkway Drive south of Lillyhill Drive.

Reports say the crash involved five juveniles, including a 16-year-old male, a 15-year-old male and female, a 14-year-old male, and a 3-year-old male. A 2013 Jeep Wrangler they occupied lost control on Parkway while traveling south.

The Wrangler rolled over, ejecting two passengers with serious injuries that required immediate medical attention. One of them was found trapped under the wreckage after being ejected, but authorities managed to extricate the minor.

Two juveniles were airlifted to trauma centers in the Las Vegas area for treatment, while the other three victims were transported and treated at a local hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.

It was unclear whether other vehicles were involved in the crash. Alcohol was not a contributing factor, and the cause remained under investigation.
