[11-29-2021] Kern County, CA – One Person Killed Following a Deadly Head-On Collision Involving a Dump Truck at Elk Hills Road

A 38-year-old man identified as Conrad James S. was killed following a deadly head-on collision at Elk Hills Road on Monday morning, November 29, 2021.

The fatal accident occurred on Taft Highway, commonly known as Highway 119, at Elk Hills Road at approximately 9:14 a.m.

A pickup truck was heading westbound on the highway when it drifted into the eastbound lanes for unclear reasons. It then collided head-on into an oncoming dump truck.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the dump truck driver sustained minor injuries in the crash.

Information about the crash is limited at the moment. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident. The case is currently under further investigation.
