[11-29-2022] Female Pedestrian Injured After Being Hit by Car in OakleyA female pedestrian was injured and hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in downtown Oakley on Tuesday night, November 29, 2022.

According to the Oakley Police, the crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. on Main Street at Norcross Lane.

A silver Honda Pilot SUV driven by a woman was reportedly traveling east on Main Street at 20-25 mph when it struck the pedestrian.

The driver was seen in the 3100 block of Main Street at a Grocery Outlet wearing a black mask and a white cap before the crash. She then sped off from the scene after the collision.

The police immediately turned to social media to locate the driver and made the arrest the following morning. No other information about the arrest was released.

The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance to receive treatment for her head and arm injuries. She was later released.

Further investigation into the crash continued.
