Two-Vehicle Accident Statistics

In the United States, somebody is killed or badly injured in a car crash every minute. About two million children and young adults between the ages of two and thirty-four lose their lives each year and ten times as many have injuries.

It is predicted that by the year 2050, over 10,000 individuals per year will lose their lives in traffic accidents in California.

The number of car accidents in the Golden State increased by 23.5% in 2015. It was projected that 3,898 people would lose their lives and another 276,823 would be injured in motor vehicle collisions in 2017. In 2018, nine individuals died for every 100,000 people who rode public transit.

At some point, every motorist, no matter how careful, will be involved in an accident. This serves as a useful reminder of the importance of safe driving, routine vehicle maintenance, and constant vigilance.
