[11-30-2022] 61-Year-Old Killed in a Car Crash in SunnyvaleAuthorities said a 61-year-old man was killed following a car crash in Sunnyvale on Wednesday evening, November 30, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:50 p.m. on State Highway 237 east of Mathilda.

Early investigation revealed that a 62-year-old woman on a 2007 Lexus ES 350 collided with a car in front of her when she hit her brakes too late for failing to keep her eyes on the road.

The victim was her passenger sitting in the rear right of the car. He hit the back of the passenger seat for not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

He was transported to Stanford Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries the next day. The Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office has not yet released his identity.
