[12-02-2021] Yolo County, CA – Child Killed, Three Others Injured Following a Major Traffic Crash in Davis

A 1-year-old was killed while three others were injured after a deadly traffic crash in Davis on Thursday morning, December 2, 2021.

The accident took place on the eastbound side of Interstate 80 near the Richards Boulevard off-ramp at around 4:00 a.m.

A sedan reportedly crashed into a center divider then veered onto the roadway. The disabled sedan was then hit by a box truck and a pickup truck.

A 1-year-old child was ejected from the sedan due to the severity of the impact. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two people in the sedan sustained major injuries in the crash. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Information about the crash is limited at the moment. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
