Authorities reported that the deadly crash occurred around 7:42 a.m. at Blacow Road and Royal Palm Drive.

Reports state that the 41-year-old victim was on the southeast corner of Blacow Road, waiting for the light to turn green so she could cross the street.

She began walking west on the crosswalk once the signal changed.

As a result, the vehicle driven by a 43-year-old struck her as she crossed the southbound side. According to police, the driver displayed no signs or symptoms of impairment.

Responders arrived at the scene and discovered the victim severely injured. She was transported to a local emergency facility, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Police said the vehicle’s driver remained on the site and completely cooperated.

The female driver did not show any signs or symptoms of impairment.
