[12-04-2022] Passenger Killed, One Injured Following Rollover Crash on Florin RoadA two-vehicle collision killed a passenger and injured another in Sacramento Sunday night, December 4, 2022.

Authorities confirmed that the fatal crash occurred around 7:41 p.m. on Florin Road near South Watt Avenue.

The driver of a 2016 Ford was reportedly speeding westbound on Florin Road, approaching the intersection with South Watt Avenue, while the driver of a 2014 Toyota was running northbound on South Watt Avenue.

A witness stated that the Toyota drove through the intersection on a green signal when the Ford struck it.

The impact of the accident caused the Ford to lose control, roll onto its roof, and eject a passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt.

Responders rushed to the scene and transported the 38-year-old victim, Steven A., to Kaiser South, where he eventually passed away.

Meanwhile, the Toyota driver escaped unharmed, and the Ford driver suffered minor injuries.

Alcohol and drugs did not appear to be factors in the crash.
