One person was killed while four others were hurt after a multi-vehicle collision in Anaheim on Sunday morning, December 5, 2021.

[12-05-2021] Orange County, CA - One Person Killed, Four Others Injured After a Multi-Vehicle Crash in AnaheimThe major collision took place at the intersection of South Magnolia Avenue and Ball Road in Anaheim at around 1:53 a.m.

A westbound black Nissan Murano traveled on Ball Road when the driver ran a red light at the intersection and struck a black 2016 Honda Accord.

The initial crash then triggered a chain-reaction collision. One of the vehicles hit a Toyota Camry stopped at the red light on Magnolia Avenue.

A 49-year-old passenger in the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, four others were injured and immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities later determined that the Nissan driver was under the influence at the time of the accident. He was arrested on DUI-related charges.

An active investigation of the crash is currently underway. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
