One unidentified person was killed after getting struck by a passing train in Del Mar on Monday afternoon, December 6, 2021.

A male adult was struck by a southbound North County Transit Coaster train. It’s unclear why the man was at the crossing.

Unfortunately, the unidentified male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The San Diego Sheriff’s Department Transit Enforcement Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
