[12-07-2022] Sacramento County, CA – Two People Injured When Wrong-Way Driver Hit Police Car Along Del Paso

Two people were injured when a wrong-way driver struck a parked police car in Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon, December 07, 2022.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the North Sacramento area along Del Paso Boulevard.

The driver smashed into a parked Sacramento Police crime scene investigation vehicle and sustained non-serious injuries after hitting a pedestrian who also suffered minor injuries.

The two injured individuals, whose identities were not released by the authorities, were transported to local trauma centers.

Despite Sacramento police’s assertion that DUI was not a factor, the circumstances of the crash are still being investigated.
