An unidentified woman was killed following a deadly bicycle crash in San Jacinto on early Wednesday morning, December 8, 2021.

The victim was riding her bicycle northbound when a northbound gray 2013 Kia Optima suddenly struck her.

The driver that struck the bicyclist remained at the scene and willingly cooperated with authorities. He was not under the influence at the time of the accident.

The female bicyclist was fatally injured in the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was uninjured in the crash.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Local authorities are further investigating the case.
