[12-10-2022] One Killed, Two Others Hospitalized in Solo Car Crash by DUI Driver in San JoseAuthorities said one person was killed and two others were hospitalized in a single-car crash caused by a DUI driver in San Jose on Saturday evening, December 10, 2022.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the deadly crash occurred at 11:45 p.m. near Story Road and Senter Road.

A 2022 Chevrolet truck driven by a male driver, along with his three female passengers, was traveling north when it hit a steel pillar.

All three women were transported to a local hospital, where one of them was declared dead. The other two remains hospitalized for additional treatment.

The driver was unharmed when authorities arrived and was showing clear indicators of alcohol influence. He was detained on charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.

The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office will announce the woman’s name once her identity has been established and her next of kin have been notified.

Police are currently looking for details about this collision. Anyone with information is urged to contact the San Jose Police Traffic Investigations Unit.
