A man was injured and airlifted to a hospital following a UTV crash on a private property in Valley Springs, Calaveras County, on Tuesday evening, December 10, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. on a property located at 8815 Stenson View Drive near Sparrowk Road, east of Highway 26.
Dylan G., a 29-year-old resident of Valley Springs, was driving a 2018 Polaris Razor at approximately 10 miles per hour through an open field when he made a sharp left turn. The UTV overturned onto its right side.
The passenger, identified as 29-year-old Jesse D. of Manteca, was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. He complained of pain and injuries and was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment.
Authorities confirmed that alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the collision.
The incident is under investigation.
