[12-11-2021] One Person Killed After a Car Crash in OrindaA 32-year-old man identified as Raul B. was killed after a traffic crash involving a parked vehicle in Orinda on early Saturday morning, December 11, 2021. The fatal accident happened on Highway 24, just west of the St. Stephens Drive exit in Orinda, at around1:30 a.m.

The 32-year-old man was driving an eastbound Toyota Avalon when he lost control of his vehicle for unclear reasons and rear-ended a parked Dodge Challenger on the right shoulder of the highway.

No one was inside the Dodge Challenger at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, the 32-year-old man was fatally injured in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Information about the crash is limited at the moment. It’s unclear whether mechanical failure or intoxication played a role in the crash. Local authorities are further investigating the cause of the crash.
