[12-11-2021] Riverside County, CA – Pilot Injured Following a Small Plane Crash in Bermuda Dunes

A small plane crash seriously injures an unidentified pilot in Bermuda Dunes on Saturday afternoon, December 11, 2021.

The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. in the 78000 block of Discovery Bay in Bermuda Dunes.

An RV 3 was taking off from the Bermuda Airport when it crash-landed on Discovery Bay for unclear reasons.

The pilot, who was the plane’s sole occupant, was seriously injured in the crash. He was immediately taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The identity of the pilot has not been disclosed. Nobody in the area was hurt. The accident is currently under further investigation by the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board.
