[12-11-2022] San Leandro Hit-and-Run Crash Caused by Wrong-Way Driver Kills 31-Year-Old WomanAuthorities said a 31-year-old woman was killed following a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash caused by a wrong-way driver in San Leandro on Sunday morning, December 11, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision that also injured one driver occurred on Davis Street and Interstate 880 on-ramp.

The victim was riding an Uber on her way to work when they were struck by an unknown vehicle that was allegedly traveling the wrong way.

The woman was declared dead on the spot, while the Uber driver sustained hand injuries. The driver claimed all they could recall was seeing headlights before a collision.

The unidentified driver immediately left the scene, according to the authorities.

No other details on the crash were released as the investigation continued. Anyone with information is urged to contact the authorities.
