[12-11-2022] San Diego County, CA – 80-Year-Old Man Killed in North County Pedestrian Accident

An 80-year-old male pedestrian was killed in a car crash in San Diego on Sunday afternoon, December 11, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 3:23 p.m. along Interstate 15, north of Carmel Mountain Road, in North County.

The victim, identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office as Mohammad N. from San Diego, was walking south on the highway when a Ford SUV hit him.

The elderly man suffered blunt force trauma and was declared dead on the spot by the responders.

No further details on the car driver were available as the investigation continued.
