[12-14-2022] San Joaquin County, CA – Two Drivers Killed After Head-On Collision in Stockton

Authorities said two people were killed following a head-on collision in Stockton on Wednesday morning, December 14, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 5:00 a.m. on East Mariposa Road close to Santa Ana Way.

The collision involved two vehicles: a Toyota Prius traveling west and a Dodge Charger traveling east, both moving at an unknown speed.

CHP officials suspect the Dodge veered into the westbound lanes and struck the Prius head-on, causing the Dodge to catch fire several hundred feet away.

Both drivers died in the crash, and there were no other occupants in either car.

The investigation by the authorities into the cause of the collision continued.
