[12-14-2022] Employee Injured After Car Crashed into Safeway Store in Menlo ParkAuthorities said an employee was hospitalized after a car crashed into a Safeway store in Menlo Park on Wednesday morning, December 14, 2022.

According to the Woodside Fire Protection District, the crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. at a Safeway store located at 325 Sharon Park Drive.

The car, described as a gray-colored SUV, was found partially inside the front of the store. The driver reportedly tried to park but didn’t know what had happened.

A store employee was hurt due to the crash and transported to Stanford Hospital. How severe the wounds are and their current condition remains unclear.

The driver escaped the collision unharmed, while the building was found to have no structural issues.

The investigation by the authorities continues.
