When it comes to pedestrian accidents, California is one of the most dangerous states in the country. Nearly a quarter of pedestrian deaths occur in California compared to the national average. In California alone, more than 14,000 pedestrians were injured or killed in the year 2018.

The most prevalent causes of pedestrian accidents include distracted driving, speeding, drunk drivers, and pedestrians who fail to yield the right of way.
