[12-15-2022] Bicyclist in Lafayette Struck and Killed by VehicleA cyclist was struck and killed after he collided with a vehicle in Lafayette on Thursday afternoon, December 15, 2022.

The fatal crash reportedly occurred around 1:48 p.m. near Moraga Road and Mt. Diablo Boulevard.

According to authorities, the bicyclist ran past a red light and entered the intersection against incoming traffic.

Officers responded and found the victim being treated by a doctor who had stopped to help.

An ambulance was called and transported the bicyclist to a nearby hospital. His condition remains unknown.

Meanwhile, the car driver cooperated and was interrogated by officers.

The bicyclist’s medical condition was not disclosed on Friday.
