[12-15-2022] 60-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Elk GroveA 60-year-old woman was struck and killed during a pedestrian collision in Elk Grove on Thursday night, December 15, 2022.

According to authorities, the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Sheldon Road between Waterman Road and Bradshaw Road.

Reports state that the female pedestrian was walking on the road when a white Lexus struck her.

When paramedics arrived at the scene, the victim was pronounced dead.

The Lexus remained at the site, and there was no sign of impairment.

The collision did not appear to be caused by speed.

Investigations into what caused the crash are underway.
