[12-15-2022] One Person Killed in Rio Linda Two-Vehicle CollisionAuthorities said one person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Rio Linda, Sacramento County, on Thursday morning, December 15, 2022.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the fatal collision occurred around 10:45 a.m. at Camelot Street and Elkhorn Boulevard.

A sedan and a red pickup truck were reportedly the involved vehicles. The sedan driver, identified by the Sacramento County Coroner as Cynthia I. from Sacramento, is thought to have slammed into a nearby fence.

The victim was extricated from the wreckage by paramedics and firefighters. Unfortunately, she was declared dead on the spot. No other details on the other driver were released.

For approximately two hours, Elkhorn Boulevard was closed for the investigation.
