Authorities and bystanders rescued a cyclist[12-15-2022] Cyclist Rescued After Being Run Over by Vehicle in Watsonville after a vehicle struck him in Watsonville on Thursday morning, December 15, 2022.

Reports indicate that the collision occurred around 8:00 a.m. on Pacifica Avenue and Main Street.

According to police, the driver of a stolen car ran over the cyclist, who became trapped beneath the vehicle.

Good Samaritans and police officials immediately removed the victim from the vehicle.

The rider was rushed to the hospital and is stable after suffering injuries.

Shortly after the crash, the accused driver was apprehended. He is charged with many offenses, including possessing a stolen car, reckless driving causing bodily harm, and avoiding a peace officer with reckless disregard for safety.
