[12-16-2021] Sacramento County, CA – One Person Killed After a Deadly Big Rig Crash in Natomas

One unidentified person was killed after a deadly crash involving a big rig in Natomas on Thursday morning, December 16, 2021.

The fatal collision transpired at approximately 9:10 a.m. on Del Paso Road at the Interstate 5 on-ramp.

A semi-truck lost control and struck a center divider before rolling onto its side. The truck then landed on its roof, trapping one person. The semi also caught fire.

Emergency personnel later arrived at the scene and extricated the trapped party. Unfortunately, the big rig driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed.

The case is currently under further investigation. Local authorities will attempt to determine the cause of the crash.
