[12-16-2021] San Diego County, CA – Motorcycle Crash in Barrio Logan Involving a DUI Driver Injures One

One person was injured after a motorcycle crash involving an alleged DUI driver in Barrio Logan on Wednesday evening, December 16, 2021.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m. in the 2400 block of Harbor Drive in Barrio Logan.

A Nissan Versa was about to make a left turn onto the roadway from the curb when a 2014 Aprila RSV4 broadsided it.

Due to the severity of the impact, the rider was ejected from his motorcycle. The rider sustained a broken leg and was immediately taken to an area hospital.

Local authorities later determined that the Nissan driver was under the influence at the time of the accident. He was arrested on DUI-related charges.

The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. The case is currently under further investigation.
