[12-16-2022] Suspected DUI Driver Crashes Into Two Cars, Leaves One Injured in BakersfieldA man was severely injured after a suspected DUI driver crashed into two vehicles in Bakersfield on Friday morning, December 16, 2022.

Authorities reported that the collision transpired around 9:51 a.m. on 8th Street near Chester Avenue.

Reports state that the victim man is a mobile car washer cleaning a vehicle on the south curb.

A pickup truck driver sped into traffic and collided with the vehicle being cleaned, trapping the man between the two cars.

Due to the impact, the vehicles were shoved into a third vehicle.

Police officials have not released any information on the victim’s current condition.

Meanwhile, the unidentified driver was suspected of driving under the influence.

After being medically cleared, the suspect will be brought to Kern County Jail on suspicion of DUI-related crimes.
