[12-16-2022] 76-Year-Old Woman Struck and Killed by Vehicle in DavenportA 76-year-old woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in Davenport on Friday afternoon, December 16, 2022.

Authorities confirmed that the collision occurred around 3:00 p.m. at a residence on Swanton Road, east of State Highway 1.

According to reports, a 76-year-old man backed up his 2002 Ford automobile in the driveway while the Woman was waiting there.

The Ford collided with the woman in the driveway for an unknown reason.

The driver came to a halt and waited for responders to arrive.

The victim was critically injured and was taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

There is no indication that drinking or drugs were involved.

Investigations into the fatal collision are ongoing.
