[12-18-2022] Four People, Including Infant, Hospitalized After Two-Vehicle CollisionAuthorities said four people, including an infant, were hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision in Contra Costa County on Sunday afternoon, December 18, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:00 p.m. along the northbound Byron Highway.

The responders from Contra Costa Fire Protection District arrived at the scene and discovered a Black Hyundai and a BMW involved in the crash.

One person sustained major injuries and required hospitalization. Three more suffered moderate wounds, including an infant, who was reportedly ejected from the car but later confirmed to be false.

Con Fire attempted to have the infant airlifted to the hospital, but the attempt was canceled due to poor visibility.

The details of the crash and the extent of injuries remain under investigation by the authorities.
