[12-21-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – 71-Year-Old Driver Injured Following Car vs Truck Rear-End Collision Along Twentynine Palms Highway

A 71-year-old driver was injured after a rear-end crash near Yucca Valley in San Bernardino County on Thursday afternoon, December 21, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 4:03 p.m. along Twentynine Palms Highway east of Yucca Park Road.

An elderly driver, driving a Subaru, crashed into the left rear of the tractor-trailer on Route 62, blocking the left lane for about an hour and a half.

The 71-year-old victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to the nearest medical center. Meanwhile, the driver of the tractor-trailer remained unharmed.

A preliminary investigation by the CHP indicates that driving under the influence was not a contributing factor to the accident.
