Car accidents happen on U.S. roads all the time. These accidents can change your life and make you feel bad. It’s easy to forget how dangerous cars can be because they are so important to our daily lives. Severe and even fatal car accidents can happen.

According to the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) of the U.S. Department of Transportation, 33,654 fatal car accidents in 2018 killed 36,560 people.

A multi-vehicle accident is only one type of car accident. Three or more cars often get into an accident together. This type of accident is called a “three-car accident.” They are usually caused by a “chain-reaction” crash, where one car bumps into another, which then bumps into other cars on the road.

These types of accidents are often caused by drunk driving, speeding, and being distracted while driving, among other things.
