[12-22-2021] Placer County, CA – Pilot Injured After a Plane Crash near Auburn Municipal Airport

An unidentified pilot was hurt following a small plane crash in Auburn on Wednesday afternoon, December 22, 2021.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the 3000 block of Miracle Drive, near Auburn Municipal Airport.

A single-engine Cessna crashed into a home in Miracle Drive for unclear reasons. The pilot, who was the only occupant in the plane, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment.

There were people inside the home at the time of the accident. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transporation Safety Board are further investigating the cause of the crash.
