One person was killed while several injuries were reported following a deadly traffic crash involving multiple vehicles in Woodland on Wednesday evening, December 22, 2021.

A four-vehicle crash occurred on the highway. The accident started when a big rig stalled a few miles ahead near the Highway 113 offramp. The traffic slowed with cars following behind, including a Volkswagen.

A Ford Expedition towing a trailer then smashed into the Volkswagen, which was no longer moving because of the backup.

One person was killed in the crash. Meanwhile, several others were injured following the collision. The number of people injured and their condition is unknown.

The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed. The southbound lanes were shut down for a few hours to give way for the cleanup and investigation.
