[12-22-2022] Head-On Collision on Avenue 9 Fatally Struck Two People, Injured Two MoreA two-vehicle collision killed two people and injured two more in Madera County on Thursday morning, December 22, 2022.

The California Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at 6:45 a.m. on Avenue 9 near Children’s Boulevard.

Reports indicate an eastbound Honda Civic entered the westbound lane and collided with a Toyota Corolla.

The Civic driver and a passenger in the Corolla died due to their injuries.

Two more persons in the Corolla were treated at Community Regional Medical Center.

Inside the Toyota were three family members.

The victims’ identities remain unknown, but they are all men.

Officers suspect that the Honda was speeding through a curve in the road, leading the driver to cross into the oncoming lane.
