[12-22-2022] Man Killed in Workplace Accident at Composting Facility in Dos PalosAuthorities reported that a man was killed in a workplace accident at a composting facility in Dos Palos, Merced County, on Thursday morning, December 22, 2022.

According to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal industrial accident occurred around 11:17 a.m. in Central Valley Composting in the 13700 block of Harmon Road.

Apparently crushed by a tractor, 55-year-old Martin E. from Dos Palos was found by responding deputies. While some information remains unclear, the death seems to result from an industrial accident.

Cal/OSHA, or the Division of Occupation Safety and Health, was already informed of the deadly accident.

No further details were released as the investigation by the authorities continued.
