[12-22-2022] One Killed, Four Injured in Antelope Two-Vehicle Crash involving DeputyOne person was killed after being ejected in a two-vehicle crash involving a Sheriff’s deputy in Antelope, Sacramento County, on Thursday morning, December 22, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly two-vehicle T-bone collision occurred around 2:00 a.m. at the Elverta Road and Watt Avenue intersection.

The investigation revealed that the Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputy was T-boned by a vehicle whose unrestrained driver was thrown from their car due to the impact.

The ejected driver was injured critically and transported to Mercy San Juan, where he would later succumb to his wounds and die. The 19-year-old deceased driver’s name has not been made public by the authorities.

Three additional passengers in the car were taken to the hospital, but their conditions have not yet been updated. The deputy is recuperating at home after being discharged from the hospital.
Officials are investigating the cause of the collision.
