A person was killed in a two-vehicle collision on the Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning, December 22, 2024.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. on the northbound freeway just south of Manchester Avenue. The incident involved a black sedan and a gray cargo van in the express lanes.
Following the initial collision, the victim was ejected from their vehicle and was subsequently struck by an out-of-service Metro bus traveling northbound on the 110 Freeway. According to Metro Los Angeles spokesperson Jose Ubaldo, the bus was operating on Line 210 at the time of the incident. Ubaldo extended sympathies to the victim’s family and friends on behalf of Metro.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
