[12-23-2022] Pickup Truck Killed and Struck Bicyclist on Highway 101A bicyclist was killed after he was struck by a pickup truck near Paso Robles on Thursday night, December 23, 2022.

According to reports, the collision transpired around 10:25 p.m. on Highway 101 near Monterey Road.

Authorities received calls that a Dodge Ram heading northbound collided with a possible bicyclist.

Officers arrived at the scene, found debris on the highway, and subsequently spotted the victim.

The bicyclist was killed on the spot. Meanwhile, the vehicle driver was unharmed.

One northbound lane of Highway 101 was closed until 11:25 p.m.

Investigations on the crash are ongoing.
