[12-25-2022] Butte County, CA – Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Crash Kills One in Biggs on Christmas Day

A person was killed in a motorcycle and vehicle collision in Biggs, Butte County, on Sunday afternoon, Christmas day, December 25, 2022.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred around 5:10 p.m. near the intersection of Biggs East Highway and Mead Avenue.

CHP officials said a pickup truck and a motorcycle were heading eastbound on Biggs East, and one of them was driving at high speed. It is still being determined how exactly the collision happened.

The vehicle’s two occupants were reportedly unharmed, but the driver of the second one was thrown from their vehicle and was declared dead on the spot by the responders.

The Butte County Sheriff-Coroner has not released the identification of the victim involved until the next of kin is notified.

The investigation by the authorities into the deadly crash continued.
